Plans are underway for the Rosemont Winter Carnaval to be held on the morning of February 26. As part of the festivities, we once again will be having the float competition.  This is an opportunity for families to become involved from home.  All students are welcome to create a unique float to enter the contest. The Carnaval Club has added some new categories this year. The requirements are:

  • Float cannot be larger than a shoebox, but can be as tall as you'd like
  • Can be any school appropriate theme, however voters will be considering these categories: Most Creative, Best Sport Theme, Most Humorous, Most Eye-Popping, Best Construction, Best Natural Theme, Best Carnaval Theme (Bonhomme) Best Food Theme, Most Detailed, Best Cultural, Most Literary.
  • Must have your name(s) and room number clearly marked.

Prizes will be awarded.

The deadline for submission is Thursday, February 19. Floats entered after the 19, will not be eligible for prizes.

Students are asked to bring their floats to the tables inside the Learning Commons between Tuesday, February 17 and Thursday, February 19.

All students vote on the floats and winners announced at our Winter Carnaval Assembly on February 26.
