Rosemont Reminder
You're Invited to Our First Rosemont School Stampede Breakfast!- June 10
We are excited to invite our students and their families to join us for a Stampede Breakfast.
- Date: Wednesday, June 10
- Time: 9:00 a.m.
- Location: Rosemont School
- Dress: Stampede Attire
Families are invited to enjoy a delicious breakfast alongside their child's classroom community. When you arrive, please find your child's teacher and classmates outside. Classes will be called up individually to be served.
We encourage everyone to come dressed in their favorite Stampede attire and to dress appropriately for the weather, as we are planning to hold the event outdoors. If the weather is too wet, we will move to an alternate indoor plan.
We look forward to celebrating together and sharing a wonderful morning with our Rosemont families!

Please note that, due to our mobile cooking setup, we are unable to accommodate dietary preferences and cannot guarantee that the food will be gluten-free.

Paint the Pavement Project Needs Your Support – June 19
During the week of June 15th to 19th, students and families are invited to Paint the Pavement. This project has come about from our involvement with Ever Active Schools and a grant provided by Activate YYC.
There are many ways in which you can take part! Here are the options:
Option 1:
Support us in collecting needed materials such as:
· rags
· plastic containers for paint (yogurt, sour cream 500 ml or larger), and
· any used paint trays or rollers( label them to get them back).
Note: Please send these in with your child before June 11
Option 2:
Classroom volunteers will be needed for each classroom on the day of their big paint.
· June 17 Grade 6 Students
· June 18 AM Kindergarten Students
· June 19 Grades 1-5 (schedule to be determined)
Option 3:
Set up and Tear Down
· Volunteers will be needed for set up prior to the bell and clean up after one on June 19.
Option 4:
Other
· Two volunteers, with a knack for hanging things level, to drill boards and hang on back fence with zip ties and hang banners on front fences. (drill required)

· your name
· child’s name, and grade and
· how you would like to volunteer (you are welcome to support in more than 1 option)
Staff Appreciation Potluck – June 9
Our parent community is excited to host a Staff Appreciation Potluck Lunch to recognize and thank our incredible teachers and school staff for all they do each day for our students.
We are looking for volunteers to help make this event special by signing up to bring a food item, dessert, drinks, or supplies. Whether it’s a homemade favourite or a store-bought contribution, every donation is greatly appreciated!

Sports Day Volunteer Request – June 23
We are excited to be hosting our school Sports Day on Tuesday, June 23 and are looking for parent volunteers to help make the day a success!
Volunteers will assist with:
- Setting up activity stations (plans, locations, and materials will be provided by staff)
- Running a station during Sports Day
- Taking down stations and helping with clean-up at the end of the event
Volunteer Time Commitment:
- Arrive at the school by 9:00 a.m.
- Sports Day activities run from 9:40 a.m. – 11:40 a.m.
- Volunteers are asked to stay until approximately 12:00 p.m. to assist with clean-up

Grade 6 Farewell – June 25 (AM)
Parents and guardians of Grade 6 students, a SchoolMessenger communication will be sent out with the schedule and timings for the Grade 6 Farewell. The information will also be posted in the Grade 6 Google Classroom.
We look forward to celebrating this special milestone with our Grade 6 students and their families.
Report Cards Available Online- June 25
Families can view, download or print online report cards for kindergarten to Grade 12 students June 25 – July 31 through MyCBE. Within MyCBE, families can also view student information, comments from your child’s teacher, assignments and grades, and attendance information.
Please note: After July 31, 2026, report cards will no longer be available to access in MyCBE.

Year-End Family Picnic: Thursday, June 25 at 12:30–1:10 PM
Parents, guardians, and families of Rosemont are invited to our final Fun Lunch of 2026 for a Family Picnic.
Parents, log in to Healthy Hunger to order you and your child’s lunch from Boston Pizza. Then, arrive at the school at 12:30 pm on Thursday, June 25th to enjoy the meal together.
This fun and delicious event will celebrate the end of another great year at Rosemont and raise much needed funds for your Rosemont Fundraising Society to support programming and field trips for all students.

Medication Stored in the School Office- June 26
If you have provided us with medication for your child, please drop by Friday, June 26, to pick it up. We are unable to send medication home with your child, no matter what their age/grade. Any medication not picked up by June 26 can be picked up in late August or September when the school office reopens.
IMPORTANT! Transportation Registration for the 2026-2027 School Year
Yellow school bus service levels and proposed fees for the 2026-2027 school year have now been posted. The cost will be $500/student or $250 for kindergarten students.
What you need to know:
- Registration is available by logging into your MyCBE parent account and clicking on the Fees, Waivers and Service Registration tile.
- Families must register by Sunday, June 14, 2026 for students to be added to routes for the start of the next school year.
- Transportation will continue to accept registrations after the deadline; however, students are added to the closest existing stop with available space. Processing times could be up to six weeks at the beginning of the school year due to volume.
We encourage all families to register by the deadline if they think they will use yellow school bus transportation this fall. You can cancel before the end of September with no financial penalty.
