2026-2026 School Planning - Will you be at Rosemont Next Year?

Spring is when all schools receive their annual budgets and determine their staffing needs for the following school year. Student enrollment impacts:

  • The number of staff members, including teachers, educational assistants, and lunchroom supervisors
  • Grade configurations
  • Class sizes and the number of classrooms we can have

As we begin planning for the 2026-2027 school year, we ask that families let the school know if they are planning on attending a different school for the upcoming school year. We will be sending home a ‘Return to School Survey’.

We never want students to leave us, but we know that some of our families are moving to new communities. If this impacts you, please call our main office if you are planning to move your students next year and we can help you with the transition process to a new school.

Thank you so much for helping us keep track of our enrollments, as it helps us with planning for next year.

Student Fees

The unpaid 2024-25 lunch supervision and transportation fees will be sent to collections in February/March 2026. Families can avoid having their accounts sent to collections by:

  • Paying their 2024–25 central fees in full, or
  • Applying and being approved for a 2024–25 Central Fee Waiver. We are currently offering extensions for the 2024–25 waiver until June 30, 2026. Parents can be directed to FeeWaiver@cbe.ab.ca for more information.
  • Requesting a Payment Plan by contacting StudentFees@cbe.ab.ca. A payment plan requires a signed commitment to pay a minimum of $20 per month toward the 2024–25 central fees.

School Planning Engagement | Feedback

Thank you to the parents who participated in our School Planning Engagement meeting on Tuesday, January 20. During the meeting, we shared updates on Rosemont School’s School Development Plan, school budget, and school fees.

We appreciated the thoughtful feedback shared. Parents expressed support for how the budget has been used to maintain zero school fees. This meeting provides information and supports what priorities are most important for administration moving forward.

We invite all parents to attend our School Council meetings to stay informed about what is happening at Rosemont and to continue sharing your voice in decisions that shape our school community.
