Rosemont Reminder  | March 9 to 13, 2026

School Safety

Our school is fortunate to have an AMA School Patrol program. Our trained staff and student patrollers volunteer their time to help keep everyone safe before and after school.

We have noticed an increase in unsafe behaviour near the school, including jaywalking, ignoring patrol directions, unsafe U-turns, inappropriate parking, and disrespectful language. Please support our patrollers and help keep our community safe by:

  • Following patrol directions
  • Using designated crosswalks
  • Obeying traffic and parking signage
  • Avoiding unsafe driving and stopping
  • Speaking respectfully to staff and student patrollers

We appreciate your cooperation and ask that everyone model safe and respectful behaviour for our students.

Teacher Conferences – March 19–20

Conferences will take place on the following dates:

  • Thursday, March 19: 4:30–8:00 PM
  • Friday, March 20: 8:00 AM–12:00 PM

Booking is open and will close at noon on Thursday, March 19. Sign in to PowerSchool to book your time. If you need support, please visit MyCBE School Conferences.

Lost and Found

Teachers will be walking their classes past our lost and found items over the next couple of weeks. All items will be laid out at the front doors during conferences on March 19 and 20 – please stop by to see if your child is missing anything. After Friday, March 20, unclaimed items will be donated to charity. We also kindly remind you to label your child's belongings so that items found can be more easily returned.

2026–2027 School Planning – Will You Be at Rosemont Next Year?

Kindergarten registration is ongoing, as is registration for students new to Rosemont School entering Grades 1–6. If you know of families looking to enroll, please have them contact the school at 403-777-6230.

To help us get an accurate count of returning students, we will be sending home a school survey sheet. Please complete the sheet for each child in your family and return it no later than March 18, 2026. Accurate enrolment data is key to staffing and planning grade configurations for the next school year.

Developing Independence: Responsibility for Belongings

Encourage your child to clean up after themselves and put their belongings away. These small responsibilities foster independence and accountability. Consistent expectations at home and school help children become organized, responsible learners.

School Council and Fundraising Society Update

Our next School Council and Fundraising Society meeting will take place on Wednesday, March 18 at 6:00 PM, in person at Rosemont School. We look forward to seeing you there!
