Terry Fox Run at Rosemont School — Thank You, Rosemont Families!
What a wonderful day at Rosemont!
A huge thank you to our Rosemont families for your generous donations and for supporting our Terry Fox Run. Today was such a great success! Our students ran, walked, cheered each other on, and showed incredible strength in community as they made their way around our school field.
The sun was shining, and it was so wonderful to see students from all grades mixing, connecting, and encouraging one another. The energy and excitement throughout the day were truly something special!
A special thank you as well to all the parents and family members who joined us for our picnic-style, whole-school lunch outside. Having our families join us made the day even more memorable and brought our Rosemont community together in such a beautiful way.
Thank you for helping us make today a celebration of community, kindness, perseverance, and giving back. We are so proud of our Foxes!
Orange Shirt Day
Tuesday, September 29
Students are invited to wear an orange shirt on Tuesday as we come together to honour the children who never returned home, remember the Survivors of residential schools, and recognize the importance of Every Child Matters.
Wearing orange is one small way we can show that we remember, we care, and we are committed to creating a community where every child feels safe, valued, and that they belong.
Reminder: There is no school on Wednesday, September 30, in recognition of the National Day for Truth and Reconciliation.
Start of the Year Online Forms — Now Overdue!
Each year, schools have a variety of forms that parents/legal guardians are required to complete or review and update. At the Calgary Board of Education (CBE), the forms available online include:
- Demographic Verification — 2026–2027
This form includes your child’s personal information as well as parent/legal guardian contact information. - Citizenship Information Update — 2026–2027
This form becomes available if you change your child’s citizenship information on the Demographic Verification form. - Annual Authorization — 2026–2027
There are two consents to be completed. - Annual Volunteer Registration Form — 2026–2027
To ensure the safety and security of CBE students and staff, all volunteers must be registered with the school each school year before participating in volunteer activities. This form is valid for the current school year only.
All volunteers, including returning volunteers, must complete a new registration form each school year before participating in volunteer activities. Police clearances are valid for five years; however, the Annual Volunteer Registration Form must be completed each year.
How to Complete the Forms
- Sign in to your MyCBE account. Don't have a MyCBE account yet? Click here to register for one
- Click on the SchoolEngage icon.
- Select the form.
- Complete or review and update the form.
- Click Submit to send the form electronically to the school.
- Repeat steps 3–5 for each form.
Please submit the Demographic Verification and Annual Authorization forms in SchoolEngage for your child as soon as possible.
Student Health Plan
The Student Health Plan is required if your child:
- Requires any medication to be taken at school, including an inhaler
- Has any severe allergies
- Has other severe or complex medical issues
Please download the form and return it to the school as soon as possible.

CBE Child & Youth Well-Being Family & Caregiver Online Series
The Calgary Board of Education invites all parents and guardians to join a live online series on supporting child and youth well-being.
The series is hosted by the Recovery Alberta Community Education Service (CES) Program in collaboration with local experts from the Calgary community.
These sessions are free and provide information, resources, helplines, and services to support healthy child and youth development.
