Season of Giving – Veterans Food Bank

We are continuing to collect items to donate to the Calgary Veterans Food Bank as part of our Season of Giving at Rosemont School. This is part of our work with UNESCO's Four Pillars of Education: Learning to Know, Learning to Do, Learning to Be, and Learning to Live Together to help contribute to positive change in our community. Students can bring in their donations to their classroom's donation box until the morning of December 21.

Please see the link below with the list of items they need. Thank you!

Our Students are AMAZING

Our grade 4, 5, and 6 have been busy this Season of Giving. They have been active citizens within our community. Below are some of the acts of giving they have participated in:

  • Wrote letters with handmade art for soldiers deployed and away from their families.
  • Worked together to recognize World Futures Day by designing the perfect chair of the future. They focused on inclusivity, resources, convenience, cost, and comfort.  World Futures Day helps recognize that collaborative inventions are ongoing in our World to make it a wonderful place to live for all.
  • Created four different crafts to donate to elder Calgarians at the Kirby Centre. Imagine opening a decorated bag of beautiful handmade decorations from a student.
