Season of Giving – Veterans Food Bank 

Starting December 4, we will be collecting items to donate to the Calgary Veterans Food Bank as we kick off our Season of Giving at Rosemont School. This is part of our work with UNESCO's Four Pillars of Education:  Learning to Know, Learning to Do, Learning to Be, and Learning to Live Together to help contribute to positive change in our community. Students can bring in their donations to their classroom's donation box until the morning of December 21.

Winter Weather Reminder 

Living in Calgary means unpredictable weather! Please ensure that your child is dressed appropriately for winter weather each day and send them to school with a warm jacket, mitts, and hat. Students spend time outdoors each day, including at recess and at lunchtime if the temperature is at or above -20 (with the wind chill).

School Council News 

 SAVE THE DATE: Our next School Council meeting will not be until the new year, on Thursday, January 11 at 6:30pm. Meetings will be in person at the school and babysitting will not be provided. Thank you to everyone who attended in November!

School Fees 

MyCBE parent accounts. Please login to your account to review your child's school fees, which will include lunch supervision fees (if your child stays at school for lunch), transportation fees (if your child rides the yellow school bus) and a student supplies fee (annual fee assigned to all students). Payments can be made through your MyCBE account or feel free to visit the school to make a payment with your debit or credit card. Cash and cheques are no longer accepted.

No child is ever denied access to an education at the Calgary Board of Education due to their family’s inability to pay. The CBE offers a Central Fee Waiver which is based upon income level and covers the following centrals fees: Yellow School Bus Transportation, Lunch Supervision Service fee and Student Supplies fee. Please log in to your MyCBE account to complete the 2023/2024 Central Fee Waiver Application. Calgary Flames and Wranglers NextGen Games Support EducationMatters 

Students, staff, and their families can enjoy a Flames or Wranglers game and help raise funds that support CBE students and school. Education Matters provides financial grants, scholarships and awards to improve access to learning opportunities, advance equity and remove barriers to learning for students. Flames and Wranglers NextGen Series games will be kid-centric, with special pre-game ceremonies and in-game festivities. Games: Dec 9, Jan 1, Feb 19 and Mar 29.
