School Update | School Development Plan (SDP)
Each year, our school prepares a development plan with input from teachers, school staff, students, and parents. We review many sources of data, including report cards, provincial achievement test results and school surveys. Based on this information, we create our plan identifying targeted areas for growth. Our school development plan is not meant to represent all the work that takes place in our school, but rather it focuses on specific areas for improvement.

Swimming
Swimming is coming up fast with Grade 5/6 and Grade 2/3 going swimming on March 3-6 and Kindergarten, Grade 1 /2 and Grade 4/5 on March 10-13.
Swim forms have been sent home with students a few weeks ago. Please ensure these forms have been completed and sent back with your child.
If you have a CBE Approved Police Clearance and are able to volunteer, please sign up through our Signup Genius.
Emergency Lunches & Snacks
Recently, we have noticed that more students are requiring emergency lunches due to forgetting their lunches at home or not bringing enough food. Please ensure that your child is sent to school with their lunch as we have a limited supply of emergency lunches. If your family requires extra support with lunches please contact the office so that we may assist you!
Child Care Tax Receipts
Child Care Tax Receipts for CBE lunch supervision from January 2024 to December 2024 will be available by February 28, 2025. To access your receipt, simply log in to your MyCBE parent account and navigate to Student Fees & Service Registrations > Receipts. Tax receipts will not be mailed out and will be available online only.
School Council Information
We are delighted to announce that Laura Hack, our Calgary Board Trustee, will be joining us at this month's School Council meeting on Tuesday, February 18 from 6-8pm. She has requested any questions you may have in advance so she can prepare accordingly. Additionally, we are pleased to continue our partnership with Happy Souls Playschool to offer free childcare and pizza for the kids during the meeting.
