UNESCO Initiative- KINDESS

Ask your child about all the messages on our "Great Wall of Kindness." The students have been doing an amazing job recognizing each other and all the kindness happening in our building.

Student Led Conferences

On March 21 from 4:30-7:30 pm and March 22 from 8:00-11:30 am student-led conferences will be held, in person, at the school. Online booking will open at 8:00 am on March 4 and will close at 8:00 pm on March 8. There will be 4 available spots for each time slot.

Student-led conferences are sessions where students take an active role in discussing their academic progress, achievements, and goals with their parents/guardians. Instead of the traditional parent-teacher conferences where teachers provide updates on student performance, student-led conferences empower students to reflect on their own learning, set goals, and communicate their strengths and areas for growth directly to their parents or guardians. These conferences will involve students highlighting their work, discussing their learning experiences, and presenting evidence of their achievements.

School Development Plan

Each year, our school prepares a development plan with input from teachers, school staff, students, and parents. We review many sources of data, including report cards, provincial achievement test results and school surveys. Based on this information, we create our plan identifying targeted areas for growth. Our school development plan is not meant to represent all the work that takes place in our school, but rather it focuses on specific areas for improvement. It is located on our school website under the heading “About Us” / “Our School.”

Reminder Regarding Utensils for Lunch

As we continue to ensure a smooth and enjoyable lunchtime experience for our students, we wanted to kindly remind you to include utensils in your children's packed lunches.

Providing utensils ensures that our students can fully enjoy their meals without any inconvenience. Whether it is a spoon for applesauce, a fork for pasta, or chopsticks for sushi, having the right tools makes lunchtime more enjoyable and practical.

Your cooperation in this matter is appreciated. Thank you for your attention to this small but important detail.

Pink Shirt Day

Please join by wearing a PINK shirt on Wednesday, February 28! The focus of this day is to remind students of the importance of working together and treating others with dignity and respect.
