Rosemont Reminders Jan. 15-19 | UNESCO, Literacy Night, Vanier Open House, Registration, Webinar
UNESCO Focus
This month our UNESCO focus will be LITERACY to support Family Literacy Day on Sunday January 27. We are inviting families to contribute slightly used picture and chapter books. Please ensure the books are undamaged and appropriate for children from 3 to 13. Students can bring them into their classrooms beginning this week. This initiative will be supported at our Literacy Night.
Literacy Night
Come join us at our Family Literacy Night! We will celebrate the power of reading and learning together as a community. Families play a vital role in nurturing a child's love for literacy. Through shared stories, discussions, and engaging activities, we aim to strengthen the bond between home and school. Let's embark on a journey where the magic of books unfolds, fostering a lifelong passion for learning. Together, we build a foundation for success, one page at a time. Enjoy an evening filled with stories, laughter, and the joy of literacy!
Save the Date: January 25
 Time: 6:00 to 7:30
Note: Students must come with a parent or guardian; this is a family event.
Georges P. Vanier School Open House (current Grade 6)
On Monday afternoon, January 8, Mme Laurelle Edmiston and some student representatives from George P. Parents who are interested in knowing more are invited to attend an Open House at GPV on the evening of February 1 at 6:30pm. This will be a hybrid meeting, so you can visit the school in person or join us online. You can also direct any questions you may have about the program to Mme Laurelle at 403-777-7460 or at lkedmiston@cbe.ab.ca. Please see the attached invitation for more information.
