Family Fun Lunch | June 24, 2024 Pique Nique en Blanc
At Rosemont we are always looking to tie events into memorable learning experiences that expand our exposure to world events and support our UNESCO focus. The Family Fun Lunch is another opportunity to tie in social studies concepts related to Francophone culture. We are borrowing the idea of Francois Pasquier, inventor of the Diner en Blanc. He created the event to gather people in the spirit of friendship; catching up with one another and enjoying good food. People gather in a public space for a meal, entirely dressed in white. We are going to harness that concept and are asking you to help to put more ‘fun’ into the lunch by dressing in white. Photos on our green grass will be amazing!
Bus
Please arrange with your child if they will be walking home or taking the bus in advance and notify the school. Last minute arrangements have been creating confusion and causing the bus to leave late.
Trickster Theatre
Trickster Theatre will be at Rosemont June 3 to 7. We are excited to learn and prepare a performance to share with our families. Please have your child(ren) wear comfortable clothing that they will be able to move in. Wearing comfortable clothing allows children to move freely and engage fully in activities.

There will be a morning performance for the families Friday June 7. The timings are as follows:
Performance A
Time: 11:00 to 11:30
Rooms: Stephenson, Brar, Wenzel-Curtis, Sloman
Performance 2
Time: 12:00 to 12:30
Rooms: Thannhauser, Reschke, McLean, Dhah
Library Books
In preparation for our summer months, we will be collecting all the library books. Please check around your home and return your books as soon as possible!
Last Day of School
We just wanted to send out a reminder that the last day of school is on June 27 this an early dismissal day for the ALL schools. It is on our school calendar and indicated in last year's school declaration. Dismissal time is 1:10.
Transportation Registration for the 2024-2025 School Year
Yellow school bus service levels and proposed fees for the 2024-2025 school year have now been posted. The cost will be $260/student or $130 for kindergarten students (no change from the current school year).
What you need to know:
- Registration is available by logging into your MyCBE parent account and clicking on the Fees, Waivers and Service Registration tile.
- Families must register by Sunday, June 16 for students to be added to routes for the start of the next school year.
- Transportation will continue to accept registrations after the deadline; however, students are added to the closest existing stop with available space. Processing times could be up to six weeks at the beginning of the school year due to volume.
- We encourage all families to register by the deadline if they think they will use yellow school bus transportation this fall. You can cancel before the end of September with no financial penalty. Register Now for Yellow School Bus Service – Rosemont School.
Kindergarten Registration – Ongoing
