Ensuring Safe Crossings for Our Students
Our amazing school patrollers are doing an excellent job providing a safe crossing spot for all students, ensuring they get across the street safely. We encourage both you and your child to always use this designated area and follow the proper crossing procedures. By doing so, we can all help keep our school community safe and avoid unnecessary accidents. Thank you for your cooperation!
Warmer Weather Means More Walkers and Riders
As the weather gets nicer, more students and families are choosing to walk, bike, or ride scooters to school. With increased foot and wheeled traffic around the school, we kindly ask all drivers to be extra cautious and patient during drop-off and pick-up times. Please remember to drive slowly and come to complete stops at all stop signs. Avoid making U-turns in school zones, and only park in designated areas to ensure visibility and safety for everyone. Let’s all do our part to keep our school safe, and please remember to be kind to each other -a little patience and courtesy go a long way in creating a supportive community.
Bikes and Scooters at School
A reminder that when riding bikes or scooters to school, these are to be locked up on our bike racks at the front of the school. Please note that this is at your own risk. We are unable to accommodate the storage of scooters inside the school building.

2025-2026 Transportation Pre-Registration
The CBE Transportation team will be announcing new transportation boundaries, fees and service levels for the 2025-26 school year this week on May 8, 2025. At that time pre-registration will begin for the next school year. If your family is considering using transportation services for the next school year, you must register by the deadline to ensure yellow school bus service for the first day of classes in September. There is no financial obligation for registration; families have until October to cancel without a fee. The sooner you register for bussing, the better chance you are able to impact where bus stops are planned for and located in September.
Kindergarten Registration - Ongoing
Visit www.cbe.ab.ca/kindergarten to learn more about when your child can begin kindergarten and how to register for the 2025-2026 school year. Registrations are now completed online at: https://cbe.ab.ca/registration/registration/Pages/new-students.aspx
Outstanding School Fees
The 2024-25 school year fees are now due! To prevent your account from going into arrears and being sent out for collection, please login to your MyCBE account to review your child's outstanding school fees and make a payment. Alternatively, please visit the school to make a payment with your debit or credit card. Please note that cash and cheques are no longer accepted. More information about the CBE School Fees can be located at https://cbe.ab.ca/registration/fees-and-waivers/Pages/default.aspx.
Are You Concerned That You Cannot Afford to Pay School Fees? Apply for a Central Fee Waiver!
No child is ever denied access to an education at the Calgary Board of Education due to their family’s inability to pay. The CBE offers a Central Fee Waiver which is based upon income level and covers the following centrals fees: Yellow School Bus Transportation, Lunch Supervision Service Fee and Student Supplies Fee. Please log in to your MyCBE account to complete the 2024-25 Central Fee Waiver Application. More information about the Central Fee Waiver can be located at https://cbe.ab.ca/registration/fees-and-waivers/Pages/Waivers.aspx.
My 1st Ride Registration is Open
On May 24 & 25, the CBE and its partners are offering the My 1st Ride bus orientation program. This free event is designed to familiarize students with the experience of taking the yellow bus to and from school. The orientation is aimed at first-time riders and students with special transportation needs. For more information and for registration click here.
