Staff Parking Lot
As the weather gets colder, please remember to follow traffic laws and drive safely around the school. Parking is not allowed in the staff parking lot at any time, as all the spots are reserved for staff. Please also do not use the staff parking lot to drop off or pick up your child(ren).
Winter Weather
It looks like winter has arrived! Please ensure that your child is dressed appropriately for winter weather each day and send them to school with a warm jacket, mitts and hat. Students spend time outdoors each day, including at recess and at lunchtime if the temperature is at or above -20 (with the wind chill).
Picture Retakes
On Tuesday, November 26, students will be able to have their individual photo retakes done at the school. For this to occur, they must bring back their order form to the school with the retake box checked off and signed.
The Season of Giving
Students and staff are invited to participate in the following school wide activities to mark the season of giving.
- Cardboard boxes will be set up in the main entrance of the school to collect non-perishable food drive for the Calgary Food Bank. (December 2-18)
- On December 4, a representative from the Calgary Humane Society will visit Rosemont School to offer an assembly presentation on the work of the society and identify some of the ways in which the school community can support their mission.
- Get in the spirit with Wednesday spirit days (see themes below in dates at-a-glance)
- Seasonal singalongs the week of December 16-20
