Rosemont Reminders Oct. 23-27 | Safety, Pumpkin Patch, Survey, Lunches, Donations, Casino

Safety Reminders

It is that time of the year. We need to be prepared for changing weather conditions. Please ensure your child is ready for all weather conditions (boots, mitts, hat, snow pants, jacket, etc.) If you are a family that requires support to access these items, please contact the school office.

Rosemont’s Pumpkin Patch is back this year!

If your family has carved or decorated a pumpkin at home and would like to share it with the school community, you can bring it to the naturalization space (front of the school) between 8:50-9:05am on October 31.

Reminder that there is no supervision until 9:05, so you are responsible for your child before then. The classes will do a gallery walk through the pumpkin patch throughout the day and appreciate all the unique designs and participate in fun learning tasks.

Please pick up your pumpkins at the end of the day!

Our SCHOOL Survey

Twice a year, all CBE schools participate in a perception survey for students in Grades 4-6 called the OurSCHOOL Student Survey. This anonymous survey gives us results that are used at the system and at the school level to support the planning of our school development plan.

  • Students provide feedback on their sense of belonging, relationships, their level of anxiety, feeling safe at school, life satisfaction, general health, orientation to well-being, goal setting, self-regulation and cultural awareness.
  • They also provide demographic information for norming purposes such as age, gender, Indigenous status, home language etc.
  • Grade 6 students provide additional information related to self-esteem, cultural awareness of self, and depression.

If you have questions or would like to request more information about the OurSCHOOL Student Survey, please contact either Andrea or Sherry.

Lunches

Please ensure that your child is packing the appropriate utensils to eat their lunch. The school is not able to provide spoons and forks.

Donations

We are reaching out to ask for your support in our ongoing efforts to enhance experiences for our students and families. We kindly request your support in providing the following items:

  • Women’s Size 10 boots
  • Packaged healthy snacks for example, granola bars, apple sauce pouches
