Rosemont Reminders Oct. 9-13 | Safety, School Council, No School, Parent Courses

Safety Notice

Outlined below you will find some safety strategies you may want to review with your children:

  • Walk with a friend or travel to and from school in a group.
  • Tell your parents or a teacher if you see anything that makes you feel unsafe.
  • Do not talk to strangers and stay at arm’s reach or more away from strangers.
  • Do not go anywhere with anyone you do not know (in a car or on foot).
  • If someone you do not know approaches you, run the other way even if the person claims to know you or your parents.
  • If a stranger makes an attempt to grab you, pull away and yell “help, this is not my parent.” Move quickly away from the person.

Safety Reminders

Safety is important to our community. Please remember that we do not have supervision in the morning until 8:55. Your child(ren) will not be supervised if they arrive earlier. Just a reminder that we do have a flexible entry and the doors open at 9:05 to provide time for your child to prepare for the day. Our instruction begins at 9:10.

School Council

Our School Council meeting will be held on October 17 at 6:30pm. Meetings will be in person at the school and babysitting will not be provided. We are looking forward to seeing you at our meeting.

No School

Monday October 9 - Thanksgiving Day
We want to take a moment to wish all our students, families, and staff a Happy Thanksgiving. It is a wonderful time to pause and reflect on all the things that we can be grateful for. Gratitude is a proven way to bring joy to our lives. May this holiday be full of joy and gratitude.

Friday, October 20 - Professional Development Day
There is no school for all students on Friday, October 20, due to a Professional Development Day for staff.
