Rosemont Reminders Sept. 25-29 | Terry Fox, Truth & Reconciliation / Orange Shirt Day, Fun Lunches, Casino
Terry Fox Run
The Terry Fox run was a huge success, the weather was beautiful and the students were so enthused to be running as one united school community. Our Terry Fox committee did an amazing job honouring, raising awareness, promoting health and well-being, inspiring others, and encouraging our Rosemont foxes to achieve personal goals. We raised $500 through donations brought to school and $375 online. Thank you for your support. Please know, it is not too late to help us reach our online fundraising goal of $1260, if you are able. Every donation makes a difference.

Classroom Orientations
Thank you to all the families for joining us on Thursday evening for our classroom orientations. The teachers were thrilled to see so many of you at the school. How wonderful it is to work together with our Rosemont School Community!
National Day for Truth and Reconciliation
Truth and Reconciliation Week is from Sept. 25 to Sept. 28, 2023. There is no school for all students on Friday, September 29, due to the National Day for Truth and Reconciliation statutory holiday on September 30th. We encourage student and families to explore and participate in events in our city. One option is at Fort Calgary: https://www.calgary.ca/events/orange-shirt-day.html
Orange Shirt Day
Our Rosemont School Community will be participating in activities, conversations, and on the land learning honouring Every Child Matters and Orange Shirt Day
Please join us in wearing orange on Thursday, September 28. Students will spend time learning about the history of the residential school system and will honour Indigenous people in recognition of the National Day for Truth and Reconciliation on Friday, September 29.
