Orientation in Your Child’s Classroom
We are excited to invite you to an orientation in your child’s classroom. Teachers will be sharing the year plan, exciting opportunities including field trips, discussing new curriculum information along with other essential information. There will be two sessions offered; 4:15 PM - 4:45 PM and 4:50 PM - 5:20 PM. From 5:20 PM to 6:00 PM we are inviting families outside to mingle with one another. You are now able to go on your MyCBE account to register for one of the two sessions. Please call Ms. Taylor in our office if you need any support. 403-777-6230.
Terry Fox
The Terry Fox Run is approaching! We will be running our school wide Terry Fox Run on Wednesday September 25 in the morning.
This year we are going to be running through Confederation Park (North). There are different ways families can be involved.
1. We need volunteers at different stations holding direction signs and cheering.
2. We need volunteers at a refreshment table handing out water to participants.
3. Participate with us and run with your child or children. Get your stretching in early!
We will be meeting at Rosemont School at 9:45 AM and walking to the skating rink/field by the Rosemont Community Centre. After a short Pep Rally, we will run around the path on the north side of the park. Between 10:45 AM and 11:00 AM we will finish the run and have some refreshments back at the ice rink/field.
Please use the link to volunteer through SignUpGenius.
Donations to the Terry Fox Foundation can be made for our school online at https://schools.terryfox.ca/Rosemont . A tax receipt is issued for amounts over $20. We are also collecting ‘Toonies for Terry” in our classrooms until the day of the run.
Orange Shirt Day – Thursday, September 26
Please join us in wearing orange on Thursday, September 26. Students will spend time learning about the history of the residential school system and will honour Indigenous people in recognition of the National Day for Truth and Reconciliation on Monday, September 30.
Emergency Lunches
Are you struggling to provide a lunch for your child? If food scarcity is an issue for your family, please contact the office, and we will ensure that your child receives a healthy lunch each school day. Rosemont School is grateful to be supported by the Brown Bagging for Calgary's Kids charity, who deliver healthy lunches to us twice a week.
Noon Hour Supervision Service Fee
The Noon Hour Supervision fee applies to all students in grades 1 through 6 who stay at school for lunch. Please log in to your MyCBE account to register your child for this service. Please call the office if you require assistance with registration or if you have any questions.
Concerned That You Cannot Afford to Pay School Fees?
No child is ever denied access to an education at the CBE due to their family's inability to pay. The CBE offers a Central Fee Waiver which is based upon income level and covers the following central fees: Yellow School Bus Transportation, Noon Hour Supervision Service and Student Supplies fee. Please log into your MyCBE account to complete the 2024/2025 Central Fee Waiver Application or contact the office for assistance.
