Rosemont Reminder | October 19 - 23, 2026

Dressing for the Weather

As the weather changes and mornings become increasingly chilly, please ensure your child comes to school dressed for outdoor play. Warm layers, a jacket, a toque, and mittens or gloves will help keep them comfortable during morning arrival and recess. Please also send footwear suitable for the day's conditions.

Lost and Found

Is your child missing a sweater, jacket, water bottle, or lunch bag? Please remind them to check our school's lost and found for any missing belongings, as our collection is growing by the day. Labelling items with your child's name helps us return them to their owner. Thank you for helping our lost items find their way home!

Early Years Literacy and Numeracy Screeners

As part of the ongoing work to support student learning, families of students participating in the Early Years Literacy and Numeracy Screeners (Grades 1-5) will receive their child's screening results on Wednesday, October 28. Results will be generated, printed, and distributed to parents and legal guardians through the school.

These screeners provide valuable information about students' early literacy and numeracy development and help schools identify strengths and areas where additional support may be beneficial. The Calgary Board of Education's School Improvement team will be sending additional information directly to families to help explain the purpose of the screeners, how the results are interpreted, and how the information is used to support student learning. We encourage families to review the information when it arrives and reach out to their classroom teacher if they have any questions.

School Council and Fundraising Society - Tonight!

Our next School Council meeting is Tuesday, October 20 from 6:30 - 8:00 PM online. Our Grade 5/6 team will be presenting. We hope to see you all there!
