Key Dates

Terry Fox Run at Rosemont School

Students have begun to prepare for the Rosemont Terry Fox Fundraiser Campaign and Run. Grade 3 students will be spearheading the work, along with a Terry Fox Club and opportunities for building running stamina in Physical Education classes.

This year, we are excited to have an ambassador from the Terry Fox Organization coming to Rosemont School to speak with us before our run. It will be part of our annual assembly to kick off the day.

This year’s run will be held in our school yard. Did you know that twice around the perimeter is approximately one kilometre? How far will your child go?

We are collecting Toonies for Terry to help support cancer research up until and including Run Day. You may also wish to donate online and receive a tax receipt for donations over $20.

Terry Fox School Fundraiser

Please join us for the run from 11:30 AM–12:30 PM, with a bring-your-own picnic lunch for all grades to follow on school grounds. Bring a blanket or use the picnic tables and join us for this special event.

Fun Lunches & Fun Snacks at Rosemont

We are excited to offer Fun Lunches and Fun Snacks throughout the 2026–2027 school year! These special days give students something fun to look forward to while also supporting the Rosemont Fundraising Society.

Families can order a special lunch or snack for their child through the online ordering system.

Healthy Hunger

Orders are delivered directly to the school, where our wonderful volunteers help distribute them to classrooms.

Guardians with a current police clearance are welcome to volunteer to help receive and distribute orders.

Start of the Year Online Forms — Due Now

Each year, schools have a variety of forms that parents/legal guardians are required to complete or review and update.

At the Calgary Board of Education (CBE), the forms available in an online format are:

• Demographic Verification – 2026–2027 — This form includes your child’s personal information as well as parent/legal guardian contact information.
• Citizenship Information Update – 2026–2027 — This form becomes available if you change your child’s citizenship information on the Demographic Verification form.
• Annual Authorization – 2026–2027 — There are two consents to be completed.
• Annual Volunteer Registration Form – 2026–2027 — To ensure the safety and security of CBE students and staff, all volunteers must be registered with the school each school year before participating in volunteer activities. This form is valid for the current school year only. All volunteers, including returning volunteers, must complete a new registration form each school year before participating in volunteer activities. Police clearances are good for five years; however, the Annual Volunteer Registration Form must be completed each year.

To Complete These Forms

1. Sign in to your MyCBE account. Don't have a MyCBE account yet? Click here to register for one
2. Click on the SchoolEngage icon.
3. Select the form.
4. Complete or review and update the form.
5. Click Submit to send the form electronically to the school.
6. Repeat steps 3–5 for each form.

Please submit the Demographic Verification and Annual Authorization forms in SchoolEngage for your child as soon as possible.

Student Health Plan

This form is required if your child requires any medication to be taken at school, including an inhaler, or if they have any severe allergies or other severe or complex medical issues.

Please download the Student Health Plan form and return it to the school as soon as possible.

School Council and Fundraising Society

Tuesday, October 20 — Online

Our next school council meeting will be on Tuesday, October 20 from 6:30–8:00 PM online.

We hope to “see” you all there online.

CBE Child & Youth Well-Being Family & Caregiver Online Series

The Calgary Board of Education invites all parents and guardians to join a live online series on supporting child and youth well-being.

The series is hosted by the Recovery Alberta Community Education Service (CES) Program in collaboration with local experts from the Calgary community.

These sessions are FREE and provide information, resources, helplines and services to support healthy child and youth development.
